summer inspired

A little summer inspiration styling with a Michael Stars tank & Current Elliott shorts from Miss Meers boutique, and this little fuji instant camera from the Shutterbug in Eugene.

"I am Peace" iPhone case by Peace Love World from Due Donne boutique.

Below you can see the before and after of this photo (original raw photo on the left, edited on the right).    I was cracking up at Hannah's recent post about all the outtakes bloggers have, and boy do I have a few.  I must have taken about 100 photos to just get this one :).  But, gotta love photoshop, and another reason to shoot in Raw and with a full frame sensor......I was able to save this photo even with it being so dark and needing to be cropped so much.  The little camera in the pic is a Nikon Df, it's a full frame DLSR inside a classic camera body style and I just love it!  Took all the photos in this post with the Df, except for the pic of the Df itself and me holding it....those are with the normal D800 camera and tripod......yes, I know I'm completely blessed to have such amazing equipment.  This brings me to the thought that it doesn't take a great camera to make a great photographer....just a great eye.  But things like a full frame sensor, photoshop, shooting in raw, using a prime lens, learning the manual digital language, these are all things that have helped me create better photos for my blog.  I still have a long way to go, but having so much fun in the journey!
