Really getting into these "styled stills" the last couple of weekends. It is good to practice on a subject that doesn't move and setting up the arrangements get the creative juices flowing. For these pics I pulled a small table in front of my glass doors and then rigged up a gold reflector on the shaded side. I used the gold side of the reflector since it was rather cloudy day out and I wanted more warm colored light reflected onto my arrangement. Then stood on a chair to shoot from above with my Nikon Df. I made some green smoothies this time. I've long been a fan of juicing fresh veggies, but have been contemplating lately that maybe I don't want to remove all the fiber as the juicing process does. So, I wanted to try making a smoothie that includes all the parts of the veggies and fruit, nothing removed. I read online that the best way to make green smoothies is with 2 parts greens, 2 parts liquid, and 3 parts fruit. I made mine with a handful of organic Kale, about 1 1/2 cup of almond milk, 1 banana (that I peeled and put in the freezer the night before), 1/2 avocado, 1 lg package of strawberries, and 1/2 peeled lemon. First blend up the kale and almond milk. Then add the fruit and blend until smooth. It was delightful!
