Snapped some photos yesterday at Eva's 2nd bday. Shooting children indoors can be a challenge. I knew that I'd have to keep my shutter speed up in order to capture child movements. With my Nikon Df I was able to keep at least 1/250 shutter speed in the low light by shooting wide open (50mm lens between f1.8 and f2.2) and using a higher ISO (800 in this case). I also had my Nikon speedlight mounted and firing through a diffuser at a low setting. I'm not real practiced with the flash, but find it really does help in these indoor situations. I edited these photos with some Rebecca Lily lightroom presets. These presets really give the digital photos a film-like look with just one click, love it!!
