I'm so excited I managed to make these amazing tender and chewy vegan and gluten free cut out christmas cookies! (recipe adapted from one found on this lovely blog) They are soooo good, not too sweet and pretty simple to make. I have the recipe details below. Note that I did use store bought decorating sugar, which has artificial dye and maybe a trace of gluten. I tried to make raw sugar crystals colored with raw raspberry juice, but it didn't work too well. I also tried to make raspberry colored vegan frosting, but that didn't turn out too blog worthy either. The cookies are good plain as well if you are worried about the colored decorating sugar. My favorite set up for food photography is in my dining room with the sliding glass doors lighting one side and reflectors on the top and left, see set up pictures below.
I'm so excited for the new year. I'm determined to get some traveling in this year, and take my photography to another level, get going on my gallery website, work on collaborations with some local boutiques, and write an ebook on moody food photography. Still can't believe it sometimes, how far I've come and yet, I feel I have so far to go. Happy Holidays my friends!!
